KTM Unleashes Limited-Run 450 Rally Replica – Just 150 Units Worldwide
In a bold nod to its Dakar Rally heritage, KTM has pulled the covers off the ultra-exclusive 2025 KTM 450 Rally Replica. This purpose-built rally machine, developed directly from KTM’s Dakar Factory Rally bike, is restricted to a global production of just 150 units, making it a collector’s dream and a serious tool for hardcore off-road enthusiasts.
Adding even more exclusivity, KTM has also revealed the Daniel Sanders Edition—a hyper-limited version of the rally replica, with only five units commissioned worldwide.
Built for Dakar-Level Performance
The 2025 KTM 450 Rally Replica features a heavily re-engineered 450cc single-cylinder SOHC engine, coupled with a reinforced clutch and a beefed-up gearbox designed to handle the punishing demands of long-distance rally racing. The engine is cooled by a dual-radiator setup, ensuring performance under extreme conditions. Enhancing its rally-ready credentials is a lightweight titanium Akrapovič full-system exhaust.
The motorcycle is constructed around a hydro-formed, laser-cut steel trellis frame that is hand-welded at KTM’s Motorsport HQ in Austria. This high-precision chassis delivers optimal rigidity and energy absorption—key attributes for endurance rallies.
To ensure long-range capability, the 450 Rally Replica features a 16-litre rear fuel tank that doubles as the subframe, complemented by dual front tanks (9L and 9.5L), bringing total fuel capacity to 34.5 litres.
Premium Components, Race-Ready Setup
Suspension duties are handled by WP XACT PRO components, including 48mm closed-cartridge cone valve forks up front and a high-performance rear shock, both fully adjustable for rally terrain. A Scotts steering damper ensures rock-solid stability at high speeds over rough terrain. The rally-style navigation tower is crafted from carbon fibre and houses a digital roadbook system, with provision for a traditional paper setup as well.
Daniel Sanders Edition – Rally Royalty
The ultra-rare 450 Rally Replica Sanders Edition gets factory-level upgrades and comes wrapped in full Red Bull Racing livery with a unique Daniel Sanders sticker kit. Each unit includes a signed front number plate, factory-spec rims with Michelin race tyres, and an extra set of homologated street-legal wheels for dual-purpose use.
India Launch? Highly Unlikely
Both motorcycles are handcrafted at KTM’s motorsport facility in Austria and are fully competition-ready. However, given the limited production and expected high pricing, availability in India is extremely unlikely.
