Citroën India has launched a CNG retrofitment for Citroën C3 hatchback, providing customers a very affordable and ecologically sustainable fuel option. The retrofitment is available through various Citroën dealerships, supporting the company’s commitment to making environmentally responsible and budget-friendly mobility options.
With an eye towards low running costs and lower environmental footprint, the Citroën C3 CNG combines environmentally-friendly performance with the vehicle’s innate comfort, fun driving experience and unique design. The CNG retrofitment is an environmentally-conscious option without loosing the characteristics that make the C3 a unique vehicle.
Key Highlights of the Citroën C3 CNG Kit:
Eco-Friendly and Cost-Effective Dual Fuel Solution: The factory-tested CNG kit delivers an impressive mileage of up to 28.1 km/kg, significantly cutting fuel costs while reducing tailpipe emissions for a cleaner environment. It provides the flexibility to use petrol and CNG interchangeably, giving the driver the assurance that they’ll never worry about range and will always be able to travel without interruption.
Optimized Efficiency and/or Smooth Performance: With factory-engineered calibration of the fuel management system, the C3 CNG maintains the same refined drive quality and characteristic engine efficiency and appropriate running costs of only INR 2.66 per km# when used with alternate fuel.
Seamless integration: The set of components is designed for exclusive usage on Citroën C3 1.2 NA variants (Live, Feel, Feel(O) and Shine), therefore guaranteeing compatibility and performance.
Peace of Mind Warranty: The retrofitment is covered by a 3-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty that includes coverage on all CNG components^.
More Comfortable and/or Convenient Design: The CNG system is integrated inside the vehicle design and does not interfere with any cargo capability or space of the boot, while still maintaining an accessible spare. The CNG nozzle is smartly integrated inside the petrol filler port to provide extra convenience when refueling.
Suspension Comfort Kit: Unique-application rear shock absorbers, strengthened springs, and an anti-roll bar are included in this suspension that assures a planted ride and Citroën’s ‘flying carpet’ sensation to be achieved through the addition of CNG equipment.
Authorized retrofitment for safety and quality: The CNG upgrade can only be performed by the dealerships as per the company’s authorized facilities, and the kit and retrofitment procedures followed conform to the best standards of quality set by Citroën. This includes the pre-delivery inspections done on each vehicle: cylinder integrity tests, leak tests, pressure regulation, and switching fuel verification to comply with safety and emission regulation norms.
